The REN Test Module RTM-1 provides all the additional passive components required for the REN test, as detailed in Britsh standard BS6305 or NTR3, all in one unit. The 3.6H inductor and 1890 ohm resistance are placed in series with the ringing voltage terminals, and a simulated bell is catered for with a 55H inductor and 7000 ohm series resistance. This load can be selected via the front panel switch. Additional terminals are inserted into the line to provide for the attachment of an Artificial Line such as the MSB Design AL-1 or 2. To complete the components, ten line sockets are provided to allow progressive addition of test apparatus to determine the number required to meet the level of attenuation defined in the REN test. |
