The Ringing Test Generator RTG-2 is a high voltage sinewave oscillator, with a fixed output and frequency. There are three selectable cadence options, plus a gate input that allows both custom cadences to be provided by use of such equipment as our Cadence Generator CG-1, as well as remote enabling of the fixed cadences. The output is set at 55v rms, and the frequency to 25Hz. The cadence can be selected, via a front-panel rotary switch, for PSTN, PABX, or Continuous. There are three additional positions that select the same cadences but are master-enabled via the front panel Gate input. This can be an external ac or dc voltage or, using the +5v available at the front panel, can be a switch or relay contact. Using this Gate input, the cadences can be enabled remotely. In addition, if the Continuous cadence is selected then the gate input can be used to create custom cadences. Output is provided on a line jack socket plus two 4mm screw terminals. The output is current limited to protect against short-circuits of the output. |
