The Feeding Bridge FB-1 is designed according to the specification shown in the UK BSI standard BS6317. It consists of a voltage regulated power supply feeding via two inductors to the equipment under test. External signals can be fed to the equipment via two capacitively coupled inputs, these being terminated by another set of inductors across the feeding point. The power supply can be set, via front panel switches, to be either a 50v constant voltage or a 40mA constant current feed. In addition, there are two 600 ohm resistors that can be switched into the circuit, one as a series resistance to the external signal feed, and one as an additional terminating impedance. These resistances allow the tests detailed in the standard to be carried out without the need for any additional external components. |
